This was another design I bought from Design Bundles.net – https://designbundles.net/mawoodshop/582123-m128-layered-mandala-template-shadow-box-mandala-s#gtmList=30&gtmPos=19

I wanted to try and cut and assemble the design, so it was near enough the same as the designers orignal.

The design has 12 layers, each one cut out of cardboard and took on average 42 minutes for some of the more intricate layers to cut.

Once they were cut, I sprayed each layer with white paint. Once dry I pained each layer with a paint pen, roughtly matching the same scheme that the designer had used.

When I tried to weed the cut design and remove the excess pieces of cardboard, I realised that I had proabbly cut this a little bit too small, however judging on how long some of the more complex layers had taken to cut, if I had gone bigger still, it would havelikely taken a lot longer.

Also due to the size, some of the more slght and intricate parts of the design broke off, which was frustrating. However the main part of the design I think looks good.

Pictured you can see the paint pens I use to complete my projects. I have several brands, including Posca and Cambridge Art Supplies.
